"I personally would never recommend using John Moody to anyone. We recently had a terrible experience with his agency and the lack of customer service or basic care for long term State Farm customers was pathetic. Lots of agents out there go with anyone other than John. **Update** See response from John below. Read his statement carefully and put yourself in our position. Clearly it took me getting irate with him to get any action, and if he had taken the time to do what he said he did after I yelled at the guy before it got to that point we would still be a State Farm customer which we had been for over 10 years. He spent more time trying to undermine my personal creditability with his one sided response to this review then he did working through the proper channels to escalate our extension with State Farm underwriting. He even suggested during the call that I should let the policy lapse and then once the roof was replaced they would reinstate the policy. Ask yourself would you want to do business with someone like this? John I appreciate the triggered response it only helps highlight why I left you the review I did. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and have Merry Christmas!"
"Matt, I appreciate all feedback, even when it is completely inaccurate like yours. Please allow me to set the record straight with the facts of what recently happened during the Home Insurance application process on the new home you recently purchased. Your wife contacted our office on 10/08/2024 to get a quote on a new home you where purchasing that was set to close on 10/25/2024. She spoke with Tiffany in my office, and they worked up a quote for the insurance on the new house. During this quoting process your wife told Tiffany that the roof was the original roof for the house when it was built in 1999 and that it was an Architectural Shingle. Our office submitted the application based on the information your wife gave to Tiffany about the makeup of the home. Underwriting requested a survey of the property be done during the application process which is a standard practice of all reputable home insurance companies. On 10/25/2024 our office received notification that underwriting was going to deny the application because the underwriting survey found that the roof shingle was an obsolete roofing material called Horizon/T-Lock Shingle and that if you had a claim on the roof, we would not be able to repair it with the same material because it is no longer manufactured. That same day Tiffany, immediately called your wife and left her a voicemail about this and she also sent your wife an email explaining underwritings decision. Your wife replied back to the email stating that you would be replacing the roof as soon as possible. We verified with underwriting and told your wife that we needed proof of the roof replacement before the policy would cancel on 11/24/2024. This communication all took place on 10/25/2024. The next communication we received from you, or your wife was 10 business days later on 11/11/2024 when your wife emailed Tiffany a copy of the work order for your roof replacement from the roofing company you choose to do the work. Tiffany reiterated to your wife at that time that we need proof of the roof replacement before the coverage was set to end on 11/24/2024. The next communication we received from you, or your wife was on 11/19/2024 informing us that the roofing company would not be doing the replacement of your roof until 12/04/2024. Again, at that time, Tiffany reiterated to your wife that coverage would terminate on the house on 11/24/2024 if we had not received proof of the roof replacement. Your wife demanded that we extend the deadline, or you would take your business elsewhere. Tiffany correctly informed her that we could not extend the cancel date past 11/24/2024. On 11/21/2024 you called into our office and left a message requesting that I call you back, which I did promptly. During that conversation where I was trying to be empathetic towards you all I received in return from you were insults and foul language directed at me and my staff. Because of the unprofessional manner in which you spoke with me at that time I informed you that if you did keep your insurance with State Farm (you said multiple times that you were going to cancel and go to another company) that I would ask you to find a different Agent to service your policies. Even after that communication I personally reached out to the roofing company and got a copy of the receipt of an initial down payment you made on the new roof. I turned that receipt into State Farm underwriting, and they agreed to give you an extension on the coverage until the roof replacement was done. I called you personally on 11/22/2024 and informed you of what I had been able to do to get you an extension on the cancel date. Then on 11/26/2024 your wife called in and cancelled your Home & Auto insurance with State Farm. Again, I will say one more time that I am sorry about the frustration that this situation caused you, but neither my office nor State Farm put you in that situation.
